Stone (malangkota.go.id) – For its commitment and strategic steps to encourage small, micro and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to become more empowered, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) received the Commendable Economic Program Award in the MSME Empowerment category at the 2023 detikJatim Awards. This award was received by the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM at Singhasari Resort, Batu City, Monday (27/11/2023).
In this first event, detikJatim Awards 2023 gives appreciation to institutions, regions, business entities, exemplary figures, and communities. Where awards are given to figures who are inspiring, innovative, creative, and accomplished, as well as having an impact on society in East Java.
For this achievement, the Acting Mayor of Malang expressed his gratitude for the appreciation given to the Malang City Government which is considered an accelerative government in encouraging the development of MSMEs by preparing a series of policies, supporting infrastructure and events that maximize MSMEs.
"This award is for UMKM actors in Malang City and all parties for their synergy and collaboration. This is the result of hard work and commitment from all parties to provide a sustainable positive impact on society," said Wahyu.
This award is a motivation for Malang City to continue to strengthen and develop MSMEs. Wahyu hopes that this achievement will increase and spur the spirit of MSMEs in Malang City to continue to have a significant impact on the wheels of the economy.
"This appreciation is a trigger for Malang City to be more enthusiastic in carrying out coaching to improve the quality of MSMEs. We invite all parties to strengthen synergy and collaboration to encourage and develop MSMEs. MSMEs are expected to improve product quality, expand the market, and encourage creativity in creating products that are attractive to consumers," he explained.
Meanwhile, detik.com's Chief Editor, Alfito Deannova Ginting in his speech said that his party is committed to supporting the progress of East Java to the national level. According to him, various innovations and achievements of regions in East Java have a very significant impact on progress even to the national level.
"There must be a party that voices the development of innovations carried out by the region to the national level, because there are many breakthroughs in East Java that can be examples but have not been heard at the national level," explained Fito.
He hopes that this event can be a momentum to echo the progress of East Java nationally.
In addition to the Acting Mayor of Malang, on this occasion the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa also received the Commendable Development Innovation Award in the category of Improving the Quality of Education. "This is part of how detik measures our performance. Awards like this are important because our performance is measured, captured and then we improve together," said Governor Khofifah.
Awards were also given to several regions in East Java, including the Surabaya City Government, Batu City Government, Pasuruan City Government, Mojokerto City Government, Trenggalek Regency Government, Bojonegoro Regency Government, Probolinggo Regency Government, Banyuwangi Regency Government, Kediri Regency Government and others.
