Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The 2024 Simultaneous Election Campaign Period begins today, Tuesday (28/11/2023) until February 10, 2024. Regarding this, the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM again reminded about the neutrality of ASN and to be careful in using social media.
He said, ASN as state servants should not side with one of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates, so that later it will also give birth to a Democratic Party with integrity. In the Malang City Government environment, there is already an integrity pact and a Circular Letter from the Mayor of Malang regarding this matter and must be implemented properly.
This was conveyed by Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat at the Three Pillars Forum event in order to anticipate hydrometeorological disasters and create regional conduciveness in socio-political dynamics ahead of the Election at the Kedungkandang District Office Hall, Tuesday (28/11/2023).
Wahyu invites all levels of society to welcome and participate in the Democratic Party with joy, maintain harmony, togetherness and exercise their voting rights properly. "A party must be enjoyed and there must be joy," he added.
Wahyu further said that what should be anticipated is in social media. There should be no ASN who comment and give likes on the accounts of Presidential Candidates, Vice Presidential Candidates, legislative candidates or regional heads. "If this happens, they must accept sanctions according to the applicable rules," he said.
According to him, the echo of the Democratic Party is currently starting to heat up. This condition is quite good, because it shows that the party has started. "If it's just ordinary, it's not called a party. In fact, the public will suspect that something is not good. But what's important is that the heat can be controlled, so that it doesn't cause friction," concluded Wahyu. (say/yon)
