Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Institute for Public Policy and Wisdom (LHKP) of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWM) of East Java Province held an audience with the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) at the Malang City DPRD building, Thursday (30/11/2023).

The audience of Muhammadiyah residents who also strengthened political education was appreciated by Malang City DPRD member, Lookh Mahfudz. According to him, Muhammadiyah is a large mass organization that should take a big role in the world of politics.
"Through events like this, it will produce citizens who are wise, not apathetic and not allergic to politics. Hopefully in the upcoming election, Muhammadiyah citizens will use their voting rights well," he added.
Lookh said that concretely all Muhammadiyah members will come to the Polling Stations (TPS) to determine the choice of future leaders of this nation. "I think Muhammadiyah must be at the forefront to maintain stability," he continued.
"Political dynamics are routine dynamics that must be viewed maturely. And the difference is a difference in how to choose and the figure chosen, but it does not have to then destroy unity and sacrifice our sense of nationality," explained Lookh.
This political education also received appreciation from the Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City, Rinawati when contacted via her cellphone. According to the bespectacled woman, the goal of political education must be positive.
"With more institutions or community organizations providing political education for their ranks, it will be better. From all of that, of course, our hope is the success of the election, one of the benchmarks of which is the high level of community participation," concluded Rinawati. (say/yon)
