Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – After going through a long process, finally the Malang City DPRD approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) for the 2024 Fiscal Year APBD to become a regional regulation which was marked by the signing of the DPRD decision and financial note with the Acting Mayor of Malang in the Plenary Meeting of the Malang City DPRD in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Thursday (30/11/2023).
Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM expressed his gratitude that the discussion process for the 2024 APBD Draft Regulation went smoothly. On behalf of the Malang City Government, Wahyu expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all parties. "Although there are dynamics in the process, it is mainly due to the opinions and suggestions from the DPRD factions in carrying out their functions," explained Wahyu.
Likewise, opinions and suggestions submitted through the commission in the Malang City DPRD to regional apparatus to continue to improve performance. According to him, when a decision has been taken with a spirit of togetherness, the Malang City Government accepts the decision with an open heart.
This, he said, shows the nuances of a good democratic process. "This is a very positive reality, by providing input and sharpening thinking on the 2024 APBD draft so as to produce the best and maximum decision for the implementation of legislative, supervisory and budgeting functions for the DPRD as well as the implementation of government affairs and the implementation of development in Malang City," he explained.
As is well known, the joint approval of the draft APBD has gone through a predetermined discussion process. From the discussion of the KUA-PPAS to the joint decision on the 2024 APBD Draft Regulation, it certainly took a lot of time. However, in the end, being able to process well reflects our joint determination to work hard in order to realize devotion to the nation and state. "Especially for the sake of the continuity of development and the welfare of the people in our beloved Malang City," said Wahyu.
The process of drafting the APBD will continue. The Draft Regional Regulation will be submitted to the Governor of East Java for evaluation. The results of the evaluation will be submitted for discussion and approval through the budget agency and then stipulated as a regional regulation.
"After today's activities, we also emphasize to all regional apparatuses to follow up with the administrative process in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations. Of course, by paying attention to aspects of efficient, effective, targeted financial management and paying attention to the implementation plan and budget absorption, so that the development carried out in Malang City can be completed on time and benefit the community," he explained.
Specifically for activities related to national and regional priorities, including handling inflation, reducing unemployment rates, preventing stunting and implementing the 2024 Simultaneous Elections, all relevant regional apparatuses are expected to work together to immediately realize the budget in accordance with the regulations.
It was emphasized that in activities and sub-activities to be carried out carefully, correctly and maturely, in order to avoid errors as much as possible. Also what the DPRD faction suggested through general views to be immediately followed up on its implementation so that the problems that occur can be resolved immediately. (cah/yon)
