Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Department of Agriculture and Food Security (Dispangtan) of Malang City will maximize the use of greenhouses as a step to optimize the food security program in Malang City.

Head of the Malang City Dispangtan, Slamet Husnan Hariyadi revealed that in 2023 there will be seven greenhouse locations, but on a farmer group scale. "There are already two in Dispangtan, then another one is planned at the Tlogowaru Fish Seed Center, so that the total in the office will be three," he explained, Saturday (9/12/2023).
In 2024, it is planned to build a large-scale Greenhouse, precisely in the Tunggulwulung Village area. "Detailed Engineering Design (DED), the physical if possible will be proposed in the PAK (Financial Budget Change). If not, yes, it can be in 2025. That is a large-scale greenhouse in Tunggulwulung, or precisely a former fishing pond," added Slamet.
In a number of greenhouses, various types of horticultural vegetables will be planted, such as tomatoes, mustard greens, kale, spinach, and chilies. The harvest will later be sold and deposited at Perumda Tugu Aneka Usaha (Tunas) Malang City so that it will increase income for Malang City, especially Dispangtan.
"The price of vegetables will be sold cheaper than the market price, because our goal is also to help the community. Although the sales results may not be much, the sales results will also increase the PAD of Malang City," concluded Slamet. (say/yon)
