Polowijen Cultural Village (KBP) held an activity entitled Empowered Women, Preserved National Culture

The initiator of KBP, Isa Wahyudi, said that the activity at KBP was an activity to give appreciation to the mothers at KBP for their work so far. "Intentionally, in this activity we also present expert speakers in bun and kebaya styling and make-up artists to be able to further improve the abilities of the mothers and children dancers at KBP," explained the man who is familiarly called Ki Demang.

In this activity, Sany Repriandani was present as a resource person for kebaya buns, Yulia Maria as a resource person for make-up artists, and guided by Mauza Zee who is a Lady Biker from Malang to Sabang to Merauke and RA Danes Javara, Tourism Manager of KBP. "We hope that this activity can provide inspiration that everyone always respects the figure of a mother," hoped Ki Demang.

In this activity, Isa said that the theme of Women Empowered, Preserving the Nation's Culture carries a moral message and is in line with the KBP tagline, namely inheriting the tradition of preserving culture. Currently, culture is widely discussed amidst the view that the more advanced the era, the more the original culture will be eroded. "Therefore, through small group communities like this, KBP wants to continue to maintain and preserve the cultural heritage of our ancestors," he explained.

This includes the Indonesian Women with Buns who have been echoing one of the nation's extraordinary bun cultures. “One of the cultures of the Indonesian people is the bun. "Today's activity is also to invite our community to be proud to wear a bun," added Isa.

He explained, if you have a bun, the clothes you wear are definitely kebaya, which is the traditional clothing of the Indonesian nation. Plus wearing a jarik that has a batik motif which is also a noble culture of the Indonesian nation.

This activity received appreciation from one of the speakers, Yulia Maria. She said that the participants of the activity at KBP were very enthusiastic in participating in the activity. "This activity is very good for preserving culture as well as introducing the culture in KBP. Not only the mothers are enthusiastic, we are happy to see the children at KBP are also enthusiastic in participating in this activity," explained Yulia. (cah/yon)
