Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In 2025, the validity period of the Malang City Long-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJPD) for 2005-2025 will end. To gather input from various stakeholders, the Malang City Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda) held a Public Consultation Forum for the Initial Draft of the Malang City RPJPD for 2025-2045 at the Grand Mercure Malang Mirama, Monday (18/12/2023).
Head of Bappeda Malang City, Dwi Rahayu, SH., M.Hum said that this forum is expected to be a means of interactive communication and constructive dialogue between all stakeholders in the development of Malang City.
"We hope to receive input from the participants in refining the initial draft of the 2025-2045 RPJPD. Through suggestions and input from all stakeholders based on good intentions and enthusiasm, it is hoped that this regional long-term planning document will be more comprehensive and of higher quality," said Dwi.
Meanwhile, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM said that at the national level the Final Draft of the RPJPN has been prepared, and will be stipulated before the determination of the Presidential/Vice Presidential Candidates (RPJPN is a guideline in the preparation of the RPJPD). Thus, the RPJPD Regulation is expected to be stipulated in August 2024 or before the determination of the Regional Head/Vice Regional Head Candidates in the upcoming Simultaneous Regional Elections.
Wahyu said that the preparation of the RPJPD includes several stages, and each stage is time-limited. "Currently, Malang City is in the stage of preparing the initial draft of the RPJPD. This Public Consultation Forum is part of the preparation stage. The public consultation forum is a form of participatory approach in the preparation of the RPJPD, in addition to the time when the RPJPD Musrenbang will also be carried out," said Wahyu
Furthermore, the Acting Mayor of Malang also said that the vision of the Malang City RPJPD 2025-2045 is 'Malang City that is Globally Competitive, Prosperous and Sustainable'. This vision is described in three missions, namely realizing healthy, resilient, competitive and superior human resources, realizing a regional economy that is globally competitive, prosperous, just and sustainable; and realizing governance with integrity and adaptation.
"Of course, the RPJPD must be in line with the RPJPN. This initial draft was also prepared by considering the eight missions of the 2025-2045 RPJPN which are divided into three groups, namely the transformation of Indonesia, the foundation of transformation, and the framework for implementing transformation. The three must be seen as a related unit, complementing each other, and supporting each other to achieve the Golden Indonesia," he explained.
Through a forum with approximately 200 participants consisting of Forkopimda, regional apparatus, organizations, and agencies as stakeholders, there will be various inputs as considerations for the initial draft of the Malang City RPJPD for 2025-2045. "Hopefully today's Public Consultation Forum can be a strategic and fundamental step in the formulation of the Malang City RPJPD for 2025-2045," he concluded.
One of the participants, Yayok Adhi, expressed his hope that what was prepared in the Malang City RPJPD could facilitate the needs of the Malang City community. "Hopefully what has been planned can be realized, especially to be able to bring Malang City and its people to be more advanced and prosperous," said the representative of the Ledok Berseri Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan) of Malang City.
The forum was attended by the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD I Made Riandiana Kartika, the Regional Secretary of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT, the Assistant for the Economy and Development of East Java Province Ir. Muhammad Gunawan Saleh, MM, Representatives of the Forkopimda, all heads of regional apparatuses, academics, and representatives of institutions/communities as representatives of the community. As a form of joint commitment in the development of Malang City, at this activity the Minutes of Agreement were also signed by the Acting Mayor of Malang with related parties. (ari/yon)
