Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) continues to strengthen collaboration with stakeholders to realize sustainable development of Malang City. As an effort to increase the role of companies in Malang City, this time the Malang City Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) held a Corporate Social Responsibility (TSP) Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang), Wednesday (20/12/2023).
Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM said that funds for development do not only come from the APBD or APBN, but also require cooperation with companies through TSP activities. He acknowledged that the budget currently owned by the government is not yet able to fulfill all development programs proposed by the community.
"This is very important because of our limited budget, even though there are many program proposals from the community. With this corporate responsibility, it can realize and facilitate the wishes of the community that have been accommodated in the musrenbang," he explained.
Wahyu said that there were around 3.200 proposals from the community submitted to the company representatives who attended this forum. Through the TSP Musrenbang, the Malang City Government wants to provide an overview of the needs and program proposals from the community.
"We hope they (the company) can participate in the development of Malang City. As the applicable provisions state that there is a certain percentage of the company's profits that must be given. We will match the company's wishes with the proposals from the community," he said.
Acting Mayor of Malang said that his party will continue to encourage existing companies to contribute to the implementation of various programs to realize community welfare. "So it is possible, if the company wants to provide a certain form of CSR, we will discuss it in this forum," he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bappeda Malang City, Dwi Rahayu, SH, M.Hum said that the Musrenbang TSP was held as an effort to strengthen and increase the capacity of TSP in development. The company becomes a government partner in the process of compiling regional development plan documents, especially playing an active role in contributing to the implementation of community proposals that have not been accommodated through the APBD.
“There are 120 companies present in this Musrenbang. For now, there are not many companies involved in providing their TSP. Maybe this is due to a lack of understanding, or maybe they have implemented TSP in the environment around their company. Well, maybe this is what is not recorded in the Malang City Government. Anything that is done as TSP should be recorded with us so that we know. We are trying to regulate that,” he concluded.
In the activity carried out at the Grand Mercure Malang Mirama Hotel, awards were also presented to companies that have contributed through TSP, namely PT Namdhari Seeds, PT Grab Indonesia, PT Smartfren Telecom, Whiz Prime Hotel, RS Lavalette, and RS Hermina. In addition, approaching the end of the Malang City TSP Forum management period in 2023, on this occasion a meeting was also held to form the TSP Forum management for the next period. (ari/yon)
