Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – By prioritizing the principles of family and consensus, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) today, Wednesday (20/12/2023) carried out the eviction and demolition of the former car wash building land across from the Madyopuro Toll exit.
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT who directly supervised the process together with the Assistant for Economics and Development (Assistant 2) Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi and the heads of related regional apparatuses said that the demolition was carried out well by prioritizing humanist aspects.
"Firm action but still prioritizing humanist aspects, therefore we monitor it directly. That is why we also try to ensure that the demolition is carried out properly, so that if there are materials that are still wanted to be used by the person concerned, they can still do so," explained Erik.
The execution of the land of the former car wash building across from the Madyopuro Toll exit which is included in the area of RT 01 RW 03, Madyopuro Village, Kedungkandang District refers to the results of the Malang District Court Decision Number: 2/Pdr.P-Kons/2023/PN Mlg dated December 8, 2023.
According to him, if the regulation is not carried out immediately, the accident rate will continue to increase over time, because the area is a bottleneck for the toll road exit. The Malang City Government also took steps using regulations, provisions of existing laws and regulations, then submitted to the court how the consignment mechanism for the procurement of buildings for public interest was implemented.
"From the processes in the court we have gone through, the court ruling is already there, the consignment money has also been submitted to the court and the court ruling was issued last Friday. Therefore, now we just have to do the activities for the implementation of what has been determined by the court," he said further.
The demolition process also went well and smoothly, and after the building was demolished, casting and asphalting will be carried out so that it can be used immediately by road users.
Met separately, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM hopes that by resolving this problem, the traffic jams that have often occurred can be resolved.
"This is indeed immediate, so that the hope is that during Christmas and New Year it will run smoothly, considering that on Saturday and Sunday there was a traffic jam. Hopefully with this the movement around Sawojajar, vehicles that will enter and exit Malang City will also run smoothly, not disturbed. Please pray for everyone," he concluded. (yul/yon)
