Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to foster friendship and listen to the aspirations of the management of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) for the Malang City Region, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM accompanied by the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), Suwarjana, SE, MM visited and inaugurated the newly renovated teacher building belonging to the PGRI management for the Malang City region, Wednesday (20/12/2023).
The Acting Mayor of Malang, who apparently has a family background of educators, admitted that he continues to strive to give special attention to teachers who have contributed greatly to the development of Malang City. On this occasion, Wahyu also appreciated the collaborative steps of the PGRI administrators in Malang City who independently renovated the teacher's building located on Jalan Tretes, Lowokwaru.
"Currently, I am at the PGRI Malang City Management Office which was built through self-help from teachers, and this is a form of solidarity and togetherness of the teachers that can be seen through this building," said Wahyu.
Wahyu said that his party will continue to strive to help the welfare of teachers in Malang City, including the administrators of the PGRI in the Malang City area. One of the assistance that is currently being sought is assistance with permits related to the construction of the newly renovated teacher building.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Malang City PGRI, Anton Herawanto, S.Pd, M.Pd appreciated the steps of the Acting Mayor of Malang who continues to strive to build relationships with teachers in Malang City, including by attending in person at the thanksgiving event for the inauguration of this teacher's building.
According to him, this is one form of public service that is also a mandate for the Acting Mayor of Malang when he was inaugurated last September. "What needs to be underlined from Mr. Wahyu is that when he was inaugurated, he was entrusted with four things, one of which was public service. This is proof of the implementation of public service that he has done," said Anton.
Representing the teachers, Anton also hopes that in the future the Acting Mayor of Malang will walk hand in hand with the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office, synergizing well to advance education in Malang City to become even more special. (iu/yon)
