In general, Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat assessed that the stages and standardization of services including facilities and infrastructure were good, such as the existence of a waiting room, playground, including computers and printers that are free for visitors who need services.

However, in the future, Wahyu hopes that the Education and Culture Office can maximize digitalization efforts for archives and files, so that it can increase comfort and maximize the layout of the room. In addition, he explained that this digitalization effort can also facilitate the data archiving process. Wahyu admitted that in realizing this innovation, there were certainly several obstacles, including in terms of human resources (HR). However, his party remains optimistic that this must still be possible through a gradual process.

"For completeness, indeed because we serve so many teachers, there are some files that we see are indeed a bit disturbing. So I asked the Head of the Office earlier, we make a breakthrough in the attachment in the form of files that will be made into soft copies, but there are obstacles including from the HR itself, but we still have to do it even though it is gradual," he said.

In addition to services, Wahyu also highlighted the management of culture which is a great potential for Malang City itself, including the management of cultural heritage which is under the authority of the Malang City Education and Culture Office. In addition, Wahyu said that the Malang City Government (Pemkot) is currently also reviewing several art and cultural products that will be developed into traditional products typical of Malang City.

"I have also given input because yesterday I met with TPACB, later we will adjust. I see that there is a culture that we must preserve, such as the art of painted umbrellas, Malangan batik and udeng. In the future we will also study this udeng to become one of the forms of cultural tradition from Malang City," he concluded. (iu/yon)
