Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – In order to build a healthy and strong generation, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) is increasingly intensifying the National Immunization Sub Week (PIN) Polio vaccination for children aged 0-7 years. This vaccination activity was also carried out at the RW 10 Posyandu in the Dirgantara Housing Complex, Lesanpuro Village, Friday (19/1/2023).
The activity in RW 10 was attended by the Acting Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Hanik Andriani Wahyu Hidayat, the Head of the Malang City Health Service (Dinkes), the Chairperson of the Kedungkandang District PKK TP and the Ki Ageng Gribik Health Center team to provide vaccines to children of the target age.
Hanik said that her party continues to push for the success of the Polio Sub PIN in Malang City. For this reason, vaccination continues to be carried out at various points in Malang City, namely schools from PAUD to SD levels, integrated health posts and regional health centers.
"Today before the vaccination in RW 10 Perumahan Dirgantara, I have visited the vaccination at SD Anak Salah and Kelurahan Tunggulwulung. I did this to ensure that vaccination can be carried out comprehensively in the Malang City area," explained Hanik.
Hanik added that the provision of vaccines for children aged 0-7 years is very important to be a fence to strengthen children's health. With the polio vaccine, it is hoped that in the future children in Malang City can avoid Polio.
"We continue to work with all parties to ensure that 100.000 percent of the 95 children in Malang City have been vaccinated against polio," said Hanik.
The vaccination point in RW 10 Perumahan Dirgantara Malang City is one of 300 points used as a place to provide polio vaccination. It is hoped that with this activity in the future there will be no more children in Malang City infected with polio.
The Sub PIN Polio vaccination activities in 2024 are divided into two stages, the first stage will be carried out from 15 to 21 January 2024, while the second stage will be carried out from 19 to 24 February 2024. (cah/yul)
