Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Ceramic Dinikoe products located on Jl. Tlogo Suryo No.48B Tlogomas Malang City attracted the interest of a Japanese company, Bong Syoji.Co.Ltd, which came with a team from Malang Customs to conduct an exploration, Tuesday (23/1/2024).

Dinikoe Ceramics business owner Nur Hayati Setyarini expressed her gratitude for the presence of the buyer from the Land of the Rising Sun. According to her, this is a good start to be able to develop her business. "Earlier, the buyer from Japan was interested in several of our production items, but there are still some that need to be discussed further. Hopefully a deal can be made," Nur Hayati hoped.
Nur Hayati admitted that her party is ready to fulfill the packaging request desired by the Japanese buyer, including ensuring that the ceramics sent are not damaged or broken when they arrive at their destination. "If they are broken or damaged, we are also ready to replace them. The point is, we will fulfill the request from Japan as best we can," said Nurhayati.
As for the ceramics desired by buyers from Japan, Nur Hayati said one of the items is a mug and also a ceramic pot. For ceramic pots, they will still explore the desired design and have brought examples.
Meanwhile, the Head of Micro Business Division of Malang City's Trade and Industry Office, Farid Junaidi, expressed his happiness and pride in the interest of Japanese buyers in Malang City's ceramic products. He said that Malang City has ceramic centers ranging from the Dinoyo Area to the Tlogomas Area. "We hope that with the presence of buyers from Japan, the Ceramic Center in Malang City can be revived and known more widely," explained Farid.
With visits and potential buyers like this, it is hoped that the ceramic center in Malang City will grow like food and beverage products, and rattan. Moreover, in its history, in the 1980s-1990s Malang City was the heyday of ceramics that repeatedly exported. (cah/yon)
