The event held at the PWI Malang Raya Office, Jl. Raya Sawojajar is to welcome the 74th Immigration Service Day which is commemorated every January 26 and the 2024 National Press Day (HPN) which falls on February 9.

Head of the Immigration Information and Communication Technology Section of the Class I TPI Malang Immigration Office, Raden Susetyo, on the sidelines of the event, said that the making of this passport was a form of synergy and collaboration between the PWI Malang Raya and the Malang Immigration Office.

In general, the process of making this passport for the requirements and the process of making it is the same as making a passport in general. However, in the commemoration of Immigration Service Day, the only difference is that the Malang Immigration Office comes to the PWI Malang Raya Office so there is no need to come directly and queue at the Immigration Office.

"Maybe it's just special here, so what we serve are our own friends, namely media friends. From this media, it's special, because we can't be separated and can't change without working together. So here we support each other," explained Raden.

At the peak of the Immigration Service Day month, on January 26 tomorrow, the Immigration office will also open a special service at the Malang Immigration Office. While on normal days, Raden said that since the beginning of January every day there are 100-150 people who make or extend the validity period of their passports.

The majority of the needs or goals of the people are for Umrah and Hajj to the Holy Land of Mecca - Medina. "We always provide the best service to the community and without any differences," he said.

The program received a positive response from the Head of PWI Malang Raya, Cahyono. According to him, this program provides convenience for journalists, especially those who want to or often work abroad and those who extend the validity of their passports.

"This is a good service, so the service from Immigration is also extraordinary. This means that not only is this kind of service given to journalists, but it can also be given to the public, namely making it easier for the public to make passports," he concluded. (say/yon)
