BPIP Promotes Pancasila Greetings to UM Students

Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Drs. KH. Yudian Wahyudi, MA, Ph.D invited students to ignite the spirit of Pancasila. He conveyed this in the Socialization of Pancasila Greetings as National Greetings with the theme Strengthening Student Mentality towards the 2024 Democratic Party with Pancasila Values ​​at the State University of Malang, Monday (29/1/2024).

Yudian Wahyudi said that the Socialization of the Pancasila Greeting as a National Greeting is very important. According to him, this greeting can strengthen the spirit of national unity amidst foreign ideologies that have entered the era of globalization. "The existence of Pancasila is very important, because it strengthens the unity of the nation. I emphasize that the Pancasila Greeting does not replace religious greetings, but state greetings," he explained.

As is known, Indonesia is a country that has a diversity of cultures, races, ethnicities, beliefs, religions, and languages. With the motto Bineka Tunggal Ika, although different but still one. "In state activities or others, the participants are from various ethnicities, religions and others, then the Pancasila Greeting can be an alternative greeting to unite them," he added.

He further stated that the Pancasila Greeting is very important to build unity and oneness amidst the diversity of Indonesian society. He said that the Pancasila Greeting summarizes everything that does not cause differences with the symbol of raising a hand where the five fingers are closed which contains the meaning of the spirit of practicing Pancasila as an obligation for all Indonesian people.

On this occasion, Yudian invited students to be grateful that Indonesia has the Pancasila ideology. In addition, he reminded that the independence of the Indonesian nation cannot be separated from the struggle of the nation's founders.

"The Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia is the greatest proclamation in history on the face of this earth, because it has freed and reunited 57 countries (kingdoms) in just 59 seconds," he said. (cah/yon)
