Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) together with the Malang City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) have been continuously conducting socialization, education, and steps to control Campaign Equipment (APK). However, until now, almost every corner of Malang City still sees APK installed in inappropriate places and in violation of the rules.
Just like APK installed on road bends that can disturb road users, APK installed in public facilities, and so on, where installation in inappropriate places disrupts the aesthetics of city planning.
Responding to this, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM when confirmed on Tuesday (30/1/2024), asked that the election contestants comply with the APK installation rules.
"This is indeed a momentum that is part of the democratic party. However, if APK is installed carelessly, it is also unethical. Moreover, it disturbs and endangers road users. So, let's pay attention to the rules for the sake of mutual comfort," said Wahyu.
Despite all that, Wahyu admitted that his party always coordinates with Bawaslu to carry out intensive supervision of this APK. "If it violates the rules, please take it down together with Satpol PP. If the election contestants install APK according to the rules, of course they will also get more points from the community," explained Wahyu. (say/yon)
