Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM took the oath and office of 45 Civil Servants (PNS) and inaugurated five functional officials within the Malang City Government in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall, Thursday (1/2/2024).

Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat revealed that the newly appointed civil servants are from civil service school backgrounds. Wahyu said that the placement of the newly sworn-in civil servants was mostly in the Malang City Bapenda, then in the BKAD and also in the Transportation Agency. Meanwhile, for the five functional officials, their placement was in the Health Agency and in the Malang City Dispussipda.
"We see how credible they are with basic training, if they do not pass they cannot be inaugurated as civil servants. Thank God, 45 of them were inaugurated as civil servants today," Wahyu said.
Wahyu said that in the digital era and an increasingly dynamic society, a civil servant must provide quality, responsive, professional, effective, transparent and timely public services.
"As ASN, of course, you are a public servant. It must be instilled that this is different from when they were still civil servant candidates," explained Wahyu.
"We will wait for new, innovative and creative breakthroughs to strengthen the performance of the Malang City Government in order to realize the success of Malang City's development in all areas," he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Human Resources Development and Personnel Agency (BKPSDM), Totok Kasianto, explained that all of the civil servants inaugurated today came from several civil service schools, namely the State Accountancy College (STAN), the Institute of Domestic Government (IPDN), and the Land Transportation College (STTD) plus five functional officials.
"The details of the 45 people inaugurated today are 33 people from STAN placed in Bapenda, six people in BKAD, and the rest are placed in Dishub and Prokompim. Meanwhile, the five functional officials inaugurated consist of doctors, midwives, nurses, medical electronics and librarians, one person each," he explained. (cah/yon)
