Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The renovation plan for the Gajayana Stadium in Malang City is currently entering the stage of preparing the Regional Sports Grand Design (DBOD). The renovation budget that will be proposed to the Central Government is estimated at Rp75 billion.

The budget will be used to improve infrastructure, including painting, replacing grass, installing scoreboards, seating in the stands of around ten thousand units, and other priority needs.
Some of these things were conveyed by the Head of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar) of Malang City, Baihaqi on Saturday (3/2/2024). He added that the budget for lighting needs in the stadium is estimated at IDR 36 billion.
"The budget requirement will be submitted in 2024. We hope that the proposal can be accepted and approved in the Revised State Budget in early 2025," added Baihaqi.
For now, Gajayana Stadium can still be used for athletes from several sports. "Meanwhile, the need for infrastructure for sports that will be competed in the 2025 East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) will follow and be adjusted. For example, the track for athletics is likely to be prepared in early 2025," concluded Baihaqi. (say/yon)
