Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In order to commemorate National Press Day (HPN) 2024, the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Malang Raya presented the 'Press Concern Figure' award to the ranks of the Malang Raya Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) at the Malang City DPRD Office, Friday (9/2/2024).
The reason is that public officials consisting of elements of the TNI-Polri and local government have so far paid great attention and always supported the various activities and work programs of the PWI Malang Raya.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of PWI Malang Raya, Cahyono after the award ceremony. He said that the award was also given to further strengthen the synergy between the press and all levels of leadership in Malang Raya.
"In the future, we hope that the cooperation with Forkopimda will be even better. Because the work of journalists is also inseparable from them, meaning we need each other. So this cooperation and good relationship must continue to be maintained," added Cahyono.
The recipients of the Press Concern Figure award charter were Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat, Malang Regent Sanusi, Acting Mayor of Batu Aris Agung Paewai and Chair of the Young Generation of the Communication Forum for Sons and Daughters of Retired Military/Police (GM FKPPI) of East Java R. Agoes Soerjanto.
Next are from the ranks of the TNI/Polri Malang Raya leadership, namely the Malang City Police Chief Senior Commissioner Pol. Budi Hermanto, Malang Police Chief Senior Commissioner Putu Kholis Aryana, Batu Police Chief Senior Commissioner Oskar Syamsuddin, and the Commander of the 0833 Malang City Military District Lieutenant Colonel Arm Aris Gunawan.
Not only that, the award certificate was also given to the Malang Raya Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), namely the Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD I Made Riandiana Kartika and the Chairperson of the Malang Regency DPRD Darmadi.
On a different occasion, the Head of PWI Malang Raya also presented a certificate of appreciation for the Press Concerned Figure to the Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, Achmad Basarah. The handover was intended when Basarah was filling the material in the Socialization of the 4 Pillars of Democracy at the Faculty of Social Sciences (FIS) of the State University of Malang (UM).
