In his direction, the Acting Mayor of Malang reminded the importance of neutrality and professionalism as the main pillars in contributing to a fair and quality democratic process. ASN as a state apparatus, he said, has a strategic role in maintaining neutrality and professionalism in the election, so they must be neutral without taking sides.

"So in this morning's assembly we are reminding ourselves, this pledge has been read and followed up. Because it has been a long time and we only have to wait a few days tomorrow, I remind ASN. I am reading this pledge again to be followed to remind us that there is a great responsibility, rights and obligations that we must carry out as a form of our accountability as ASN," said Wahyu.

He further explained that ASN neutrality has also been regulated in regulations which state the form of violation and the type of sanctions. The Acting Mayor of Malang also advised that it be truly understood and followed because compliance with neutrality is the key to ensuring the integrity and legitimacy of the democratic process.

"In line with this, I invite all ASN of Malang City to strengthen our commitment to the principles of neutrality. Not to be involved in practical political activities or openly support certain candidates. Not to hold activities that lead to siding with one of the election participants," he said again.

The number one person in the Malang City Government also advised not to use state facilities for the interests of political parties, and not to take actions that show bias towards one of the election participants. In addition, he reminded to use social media wisely, avoid hate speech or hoax news, and strengthen the understanding of the duties as a civil servant, namely serving the community with full dedication and responsibility without political intervention.

"I am sure that with our shared awareness and commitment, ASN Malang City will remain at the forefront in maintaining neutrality and integrity during the 2024 Simultaneous Election process. Let us continue to improve coordination and synergy between agencies to create a conducive environment for the implementation of peaceful, honest and transparent elections," he concluded. (yul/yon)
