Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The implementation of the first round of the National Immunization Sub Week (PIN) Polio in Malang City was successfully held and exceeded the target achievement. Currently, the Malang City Health Office (Dinkes) is finalizing preparations for the second phase of the Polio Sub PIN which is scheduled to begin on February 19, 2024.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division of Malang City Health Office Meiftah Eti Winindar, SST., MM revealed that the implementation of the second round of Malang City Polio Sub PIN on the regular schedule will be carried out on February 19-25, 2024. "Meanwhile, the sweeping will be carried out from February 26, 2024 to March 2, 2024," explained Meiftah, Monday (12/2/2024).
Meiftah explained that currently cross-sector coordination continues to be carried out, including with hospitals, health centers, MUI, TNI/Polri ranks, community leaders, and other related parties. "The hope is that the target achievement of the second phase of Sub PIN Polio is above 95 percent, which includes 94.187 children aged 0 to seven years," he explained.
For the location of the second phase of Sub PIN Polio implementation, it is planned to be implemented in schools, health centers, crowded centers such as MOG, Matos, CFD, and also at the Jami' Mosque in Malang City. "The involvement of students will also be carried out to help with the emphasis on the implementation of administration, because later the implementation of immunization will also use an application," explained Meiftah.
Optimization of the implementation of the second round of Sub Pin Polio will be carried out according to the schedule that has been determined at the Health Center, then opening the PIN Polio Post according to the location carried out in the first round, adding the PIN Polio Post in hospitals, optimizing human resources (HR) by collaborating with the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) and also with universities, and carrying out more massive information dissemination.
