Ahead of Voting, Forkopimda Plus Ensures Readiness of TPS

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The ranks of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) Plus Malang City checked the readiness of Polling Station (TPS) officers and general election logistics, Tuesday night (13/2/2024). Of the five sub-districts in Malang City, Lowokwaru Sub-district, which is predominantly student voters, is of particular concern.

Acting Mayor of Malang together with Forkopimda Plus reviewed the readiness of TPS at several points

Acting Mayor of Malang Drs. Wahyu Hidayat, MM revealed that the majority of these students came from outside Malang City, so many moved their votes. In addition, it is possible that these students used their KTP when exercising their voting rights after 12.00 WIB.

Anticipatory steps have also been taken by officers at the TPS and KPU. Other anticipations are also being taken so that all officers at the TPS do not get tired, because it is predicted that officers will work until late at night. "In response to this, medical officers and ambulances will be on standby at each TPS," he said.

"There are some that we focus on, especially in Lowokwaru District, because there are many students there and they will certainly be a special concern. Because they are newcomers, their voting rights may not be listed here, so then they use other formats," he explained again.

However, according to Wahyu, the results of the inspection to several polling stations were generally quite good. Such as the availability of election logistics according to needs, security and health officers have been alerted, the arrangement of waiting rooms and the arrangement of entry and exit routes for residents have been arranged properly.

"We hope that tomorrow, February 14, all Malang City residents who have the right to vote will come to the TPS, so that the level of participation is high. Because one of the benchmarks for the success of this Democratic Party is assessed from the level of community participation," concluded Wahyu. (say/yon)
