Uswatun Hasanah said she started her business in 2021 at her house on Jl. Kendalsari utilizing the limited land available. Over time, the business she is engaged in has grown and now she rents 1.800 square meters of land on Jl. Piranha Atas, Malang City.

"In principle, we produce healthy vegetables because we want to make food as medicine, not medicine as daily food. Thank God, after three years, our business has been able to grow," said Uswatun, Thursday (15/2/2024).

Now, ZakiNa Farm is not only a place for hydroponic vegetable business, but has developed into a place of education for students and vocational students who want to gain knowledge about hydroponic farming. "There is a special strategy so that our plants can remain popular. In addition to continuing to maintain quality, what is no less important is being able to read the market," explained Uswatun.

Unlike conventional farming systems that already have their own market, hydroponic vegetables must be active in marketing and opening their own market. From the beginning, a little, now every day Uswatun said, Zakina Farm can produce approximately 50 kilograms of various types of vegetables to meet market needs.

He further explained that initially ZakiNa Farm only planted four types of hydroponic vegetables, but now his garden has produced 13 types of vegetables. "We cultivate various types of vegetables, starting from kale, celery, romaine, lettuce, pak choi, mint leaves, kale, mustard greens and others. The prices vary, starting from IDR 15.000 to IDR 25.000 per kilogram depending on the type of vegetable," concluded Uswatun. (cah/yon)
