Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The re-vote (PSU) will be held at three Polling Stations (TPS) in the Lowokwaru District of Malang City on Saturday (24/2/2024). The PSU at TPS 48, Jatimulyo Village, TPS 14 and TPS 37 in Mojolangu Village are only for the election of the president and vice president.
This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Malang City KPU, Aminah Asminingtyas when met at her office, Wednesday (21/2/2024). She explained that in the voting process for the Simultaneous Election, Wednesday (14/2/2024) yesterday there was a procedural error.
"A number of residents who came from outside Malang City and had electronic ID cards asked to be served by polling officers to vote. In fact, these residents were not registered on the Additional Voters List (DPTb) or the Special Voters List (DPK)," added Aminah.
The woman in the hijab added that according to the applicable rules, they should not have been served to cast their votes. "However, because a number of residents continued to press and force them, they were finally forced to be served but only to vote for the presidential and vice presidential candidates," Aminah explained.
"It needs to be repeated because there was a procedural error at the TPS, because the election was a procedural election. There was a procedure that was violated or not fulfilled, where in the three TPS the cases were almost the same. So there were voters from outside the city with out-of-town ID cards who voted there and were accepted," he explained.
The PSU in the three TPS will be carried out simultaneously and the mechanism is the same as in the voting a few days ago. The PSU location is at the original location and the election officers also remain, because their work contracts are until February 25, 2024. "The only thing that is slightly different is on the ballot paper, namely that it says PSU," concluded Aminah. (say/yon)
