Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM accompanied by related regional apparatus received an audience and friendship with the management of the Gajayana Indonesia Football Services Cooperative in the Malang Mayor's Meeting Room, Wednesday (21/2/2024).
Representative of the Gajayana Indonesia Football Service Cooperative, Wahyu Eko Setiawan, said that the establishment of this cooperative aims to form a good sports ecosystem in Indonesia. In addition, in the future, it is hoped that this cooperative will also be able to become a forum that can organize and promote the implementation of sports events.
On this occasion, the man who is familiarly called Sam Wes also conveyed several aspirations to the Malang City Government, one of which was the discourse on the establishment of the Indonesian Football Museum. Sam Wes explained that previously the initiation of the establishment of the museum had been discussed with several stakeholders. "Previously there was a discussion and offer from the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office who offered the use of the Malang City Education Museum for use," he said.
Related to the development of football in Malang City itself, the Gajayana Indonesia Football Service Cooperative in the near future plans to hold a youth football competition for students and Islamic boarding school students in Malang City. Sam Wes hopes that the Malang City Government can provide full support for the implementation of this competition as a form of support for the development of early age football in Malang City.
Responding to this, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM appreciated and welcomed the plan to hold the early age soccer competition. According to him, soccer has become an integral and inseparable part of Malang City.
Therefore, coinciding with the anniversary of Malang City, Wahyu hopes that the implementation of the early age soccer competition can be part of the series of celebrations for the 110th anniversary of Malang City. "Hopefully we can synergize and collaborate with various communities in Malang at the moment of the celebration of Malang City's anniversary later," he concluded. (iu/yon)
