Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The second round of the National Immunization Week (PIN) for Polio continues to be intensified in Malang City to create a healthy and resilient golden generation. The second round of polio immunization will take place from 19-25 February 2024 at the service posts that have been provided. One of them is at the Cucakrowo RW 19 Posyandu, Bunulrejo Village, Saturday (24/2/2024).
Head of RW 19 Bunulrejo Village, Kusnadi, expressed his joy at seeing the enthusiasm of residents when taking their children for immunization. He said that this step is part of an effort to prepare a strong generation to realize Golden Indonesia in 2045.
"We hope that with this polio immunization, the children of our residents will be healthier and free from Polio," Kusnadi hoped.
Not only polio immunization, on the same occasion, integrated health posts were also carried out to monitor the growth and development of toddlers in the area with the hope that all children are healthy and free from stunting.
Cucakrowo Posyandu has previously provided information to all parents to bring their toddlers to the Posyandu to ensure a high level of participation.
"Elementary school children will follow the Polio Sub PIN in their respective schools. While currently the immunization participants are children aged 0 to 5 years (toddlers) totaling around 60 children," explained Kusnadi.
Meanwhile, the Head of Disease Prevention and Control Division of the Malang City Health Service, Miefta Eti Winandar, emphasized Malang City's commitment to making the second round of the Polio Sub PIN a success.
"Thank you to the residents of RW 19, Bunulrejo Village, who seriously organized the PIN activity this morning," said Miefta.
Miefta hopes that all children in Malang City can get polio immunization, not only as an early prevention effort, but also to give them the right to grow and develop well. (cah/yon)
