Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The re-vote (PSU) was simultaneously carried out at three Polling Stations (TPS) all located in the Lowokwaru District, namely TPS 48, Jatimulyo Village, TPS 14 and TPS 37, Mojolangu Village, Saturday (24/2/2024). This re-vote is only specifically for the election of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM when reviewing the PSU process at TPS 37, Mojolangu Village, said that the implementation of the PSU at the three TPSs generally went smoothly with an average voter participation rate at each TPS being quite high. "Alhamdulillah, the attendance rate for this PSU was more than 50 percent, so thank God it went smoothly," he explained.
Wahyu said that overall the implementation of the election in Malang City, including currently, is running smoothly. All stages of the election series have been carried out well by all parties. Wahyu hopes that this smoothness will continue until the vote counting process at the sub-district level is complete.
"So far, there are no TPS that have received special attention from the government. But from the total TPS, only three were evaluated. Of course, this shows that the implementation of the election in Malang City was quite successful," he explained.
As previously informed, the PSU in these three TPS was carried out due to recommendations from the supervisory committee through the Lowokwaru District Election Committee (PPK) received by the Malang City General Election Commission (KPU). The reason was because there were voters who were not registered in the Permanent Voters List (DPT), Special Voters List (DPK), or Additional Voters List (DPTb) but were still given the right to vote in the three TPS.
The Head of the Malang City KPU, Aminah Asminingtyas said that according to the regulations, the implementation of this PSU was carried out a maximum of ten days from the time the first election was held. "Today was chosen because if calculated from the 14th yesterday, today is the maximum day for the PSU," he explained.
Aminah said that the level of public participation in the implementation of the PSU was quite good, with an average attendance rate of above 50 percent. At TPS 48, Jatimulyo Village, out of 216 registered DPT, 110 DPT were observed to be present and re-voted. Meanwhile, at TPS 37, Mojolangu Village, out of 258 registered DPT, 148 DPT were present. Then at TPS 14 which is also in Mojolangu Village, 160 voters were present out of a total of 258 registered DPT.
Aminah further said that up to now, in general, the vote counting recapitulation process at the sub-district level has been running smoothly and there have been no special obstacles in the recapitulation process.
"For three sub-districts, the recapitulation process has been completed, only the administrative finalization process remains. The ones that are still running at the moment are (sub-districts) Kedungkandang and Lowokwaru. Hopefully in the next two days, everything can be completed," he concluded. (iu/yon)
