Disporapar Encourages Youth to Become Successful Entrepreneurs

Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disporapar) of Malang City held a Socialization of Youth Entrepreneurship Skills Development in Malang City at the Ijen Suites Hotel, Monday (26/2/2024). This activity was opened by the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM.

In his speech, Wahyu Hidayat welcomed the initiative of the Malang City Disporapar in developing entrepreneurial potential among young people. According to him, this activity is important to create a strong young generation in the field of entrepreneurship.

"We hope that this Disporapar initiative can improve the quality of young people in Malang City, especially because they already have a strong foundation," said Wahyu on Monday (26/2).

Followed by participants from 57 sub-districts, it is hoped that this young generation can develop into successful entrepreneurs in the future. Participants in the activity are also trained to become content creators, which can improve their ability to utilize digital media to market products.

"Especially for those who are already involved in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), knowledge as a content creator will complement their skills," added Wahyu.

Wahyu also appreciated the youth development efforts carried out in early 2024. According to him, this shows a high commitment to supporting the young generation of Malang City. "Hopefully with this activity, Malang City can produce successful entrepreneurs who will make this city proud," said Wahyu.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Disporapar, Baihaqi explained that this activity was a proposal from the 2023 Youth Thematic Musrenbang and the main ideas (pokir) of the Malang City DPRD 2023. This activity was attended by 595 participants and will continue to be coached and entered into the Disporapar database.

Evaluation and monitoring will also continue to be carried out on those who have entered the community. "Later, of course, there will be continuity, with programs to improve quality and capacity," said Baihaqi. (cah/yon)
