Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Malang City Government has issued Circular Letter Number 4 of 2024 concerning the Implementation of Activities in the Month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah in 2024.
Regarding the circular, the Head of the Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service (Diskopindag) of Malang City, Eko Sri Yuliadi, said that his party would also provide an appeal to business actors, especially restaurants, cafes, food stalls or similar businesses that serve food and drinks during the day during the fasting month.
"If it opens during the day, it will be closed with curtains, and so on. Of course, we must respect and honor each other. So that in this month of Ramadan there is something calm and peaceful and the implementation of fasting is smoother," he said when met, Saturday (9/3/2024).
Eko added that his party had conveyed this appeal long ago. And so far, business actors have not had a problem with the regulation, because every year a similar regulation has been implemented during the month of Ramadan.
"We have given an appeal, which is strengthened by the Mayor's Circular Letter. We hope that business actors will obey the appeal, and if there are still those who violate it, of course we will reprimand them later. Although there are no specific sanctions, at least there is a verbal warning to business owners," explained Eko.
On the other hand, one of the stall owners on Gajah Mada Street, Malang City, Hari Purnomo, admitted that he did not have a problem with the rules that were enforced. He admitted that he was ready to carry out the appeal, such as providing curtains in his stall if it was open during the day to respect Muslims who were fasting. (say/yon)
