"To attract congregations and stimulate students so that they continue to want to go to the mosque, not only to perform congregational prayers but also to participate in various activities carried out at the Raden Patah Mosque, especially in this month of Ramadan," added Hidayat.

He revealed that every day there are 500-700 takjil menus and fast-breaking foods whose budget comes from regular donors and from the results of mosque donations. For the provision of fast-breaking foods, in addition to involving the owners of the canteen on campus, also from students who have businesses or are interested in filling the tents at the Ramadan Village bazaar in front of the mosque. So that this program is also for empowering the people's economy.

This tradition is said to be routinely carried out every year and is enthusiastically welcomed by students. So in addition to getting free takjil and food to break the fast, they also get additional or deepened religious knowledge.

Meanwhile, the name of the Raden Patah mosque, he said, was taken from one of the sons of King Brawijaya, namely Raden Wijaya. Raden Patah was the only king who spread Islam on the island of Java at that time. "The spirit that can be taken from Raden Patah is to be a figure or pioneer in spreading Islam at Brawijaya University and society in general," explained Hidayat.

The mosque, built in 1978 and with three floors, can accommodate up to 9.000 worshipers and has a very comfortable atmosphere. At the entrance, perfume is provided, there is a place to leave food, and it is decorated with various ornaments that make everyone who prays or recites the Koran in this mosque feel at home for a long time.

Various programs during the month of Ramadan were enthusiastically welcomed by students. As conveyed by Irsanti Fitriana. This woman from Jakarta admitted to getting double benefits, namely deepening religious knowledge and getting free takjil and food to break the fast. "I am interested in always following religious studies, and on the other hand can save my pocket money," she said.

"In addition to participating in the study and getting rewards, we also get food, free of charge. It's not bad for students. Especially students, of course, when they hear about free food, they usually immediately rush to it. In my opinion, this is a good program and must continue to be carried out," concluded Irsanti.
