This was conveyed by Sales Branch Manager of Pertamina Malang Depot, Choerul Anwar, Wednesday (20/3/2024). The high fuel consumption is due to the holiday period before and after Eid al-Fitr 1445 H being longer than in 2023, which is up to ten days.
Seeing this condition, Pertamina Malang has taken various anticipatory steps. To maintain and increase fuel stocks, Choerul admitted that he always coordinates with Pertamina Surabaya, Madiun and Banyuwangi.
"The peak increase in LPG consumption is also predicted to occur on D-2 and D-1 of Eid al-Fitr. This increase in consumption is estimated at eight percent of the total daily consumption in Malang Raya of 2.500 3-kilogram cylinders," he explained.
In order to maintain smooth delivery and anticipate extreme weather, a number of parties such as personnel from the TNI-Polri, Satpol PP, and the Transportation Agency will continue to be involved.
