Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – The 1445 Hijri Ramadhan Safari, a collaboration between the Malang City Government and the Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Malang City Branch Management, continued to visit the NU Lowokwaru Branch Representative Council (MWC) hall, Candi Panggung Street, Mojolangu, Lowokwaru District, Malang City, Friday (22/3/2024).

As in previous implementations, in this Safari Ramadan, the Acting Mayor of Malang, Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM, who was present with the regional apparatus, participated in the Isha and Tarawih prayers together, which were then continued with the handover of operational funds for the construction of the MWC NU building, as well as assistance for orphans and underprivileged families from the Malang City Baznas.
Acting Mayor of Malang revealed that the sixth Safari Ramadan was deliberately held at the MWC NU Lowokwaru Office after the previous five implementations were carried out by going around mosques in Malang City. Wahyu also prayed at this gathering that the MWC NU building would be completed soon.
"Hopefully the MWC NU Lowokwaru building can be completed as soon as possible and in the future can bring more benefits to the community, especially in the Lowokwaru area," Wahyu hoped, Friday.
As a Lowokwaru resident, Wahyu expressed his pride in being able to attend and meet directly with the MWC NU Lowokwaru residents. "This is an extraordinary spirit of Ramadan. Alhamdulillah, the enthusiasm of MWC NU towards the presence of the Safari Ramadan carried out by the Malang City Government is extraordinary," he explained.
Wahyu hopes that this kind of friendship can continue to be established and sustainable. "We hope that with this activity, we can further strengthen the solidarity between the Malang City Government and religious scholars and the community to jointly advance Malang City," concluded Wahyu.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the MWC NU Lowokwaru KH Zainal Arifin admitted that he was pleased with the presence of the Acting Mayor of Malang at the MWC NU Lowokwaru office which is currently under construction.
"We are sure that the presence of the Acting Mayor of Malang will be a real support. Hopefully the building construction process will be completed quickly, and this proud NU building will bring more benefits to the people," explained Zainal. (cah/yon)
