This time, a supercar community from Surabaya visited Malang City to hold social activities and see firsthand the diverse potentials of Malang City. Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM together with the Malang City Government staff received and distributed 100 basic food packages from the community to residents in need in the front yard of Malang City Hall, Sunday (24/3/2025).
The Acting Mayor of Malang certainly welcomed the intention of the community whose members are mostly successful entrepreneurs. "There is interest from these entrepreneurs in Malang City. In addition to sharing fortune, I also introduce the various potentials that we have. The hope is that these entrepreneurs can invest in Malang City according to their potential," he said.
To fill the time before breaking the fast, Wahyu introduced the tourism profile, creative economy, and investment potential in Malang City to the group. According to him, this visit is a step by the Malang City Government to promote various potentials that can be developed. "Some already have businesses here. Now inviting their friends to invest in Malang City," he explained.
Meanwhile, Michael Lawanto, one of the members of the Surabaya Supercars Community said that Malang City does have its own extraordinary charm. "From arts and culture, UMKM, tourism, the potential is very large. So our goal in bringing supercars here is not to be reckless, but to attract investors to come here," he said.
The man who works as a doctor also said that his presence with the group was also for social activities that were often done before. "Coinciding with the month of Ramadan, we also share basic necessities for friends in need, as a form of our love for all friends," he explained. (ari/yon)
