Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government together with the Malang City National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) held a Lailatulqadar Night Celebration with 1.000 orphans and poor people at the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Mercure Malang Mirama Hotel, Jalan Raden Panji Suroso No. 7, Malang City, Monday (25/3/2024). This activity is a continuation of the Ramadan Safari which is always held during the month of Ramadan.
Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM said that this event is also a form of concern for those who are in need. "In this context, the Malang City Government together with Baznas is present to help the community," he added.
Wahyu added, the night of lailatulqadar is a very special night during Ramadan, so it must be utilized and interpreted well. "Through events like this, an attitude of tolerance, caring for each other and strengthening harmony will also be realized," he explained.
"Baznas is an important part of the Malang City Government, especially in distributing and collecting alms and charity. In the future, we hope that Baznas' role will be better and wider, because its active role is greatly needed by the community," he added.
On this occasion, the number one person in the Malang City Government also invited all levels of society to always care about orphans and the poor. "Let's set aside a little of our fortune for them. Because what we give will definitely be very useful," explained the man from Malang City.
This grand event was supported and attended by a number of representatives of institutions in Malang City, such as Bank Indonesia, Bank Jatim, Financial Services Authority (OJK) and from Baznas East Java Province.
