Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Various events will be held to commemorate the 110th Anniversary of Malang City on April 1, 2024. This series begins with a Special Plenary Meeting with the Malang City DPRD today, Saturday (30/3/2024).
Then it will be combined with a joint prayer by the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB), the provision of assistance, the blanggur tradition, breaking the fast together and congregational prayers at one of the oldest mosques in Malang City.
This was conveyed by the Acting Mayor of Malang, Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM when attending the Plenary Meeting. After that, on the day of the anniversary of Malang City, it will begin with congregational dawn prayers, a pilgrimage to the tomb of Ki Ageng Gribig in Madyopuro, and then continued with a ceremony in the yard of Malang City Hall.
Wahyu said that there will be an agenda to trace historical places. Like what was done yesterday, namely to the Cendrawasih Building or what is now better known as the Gajayana Malang Arts Building.
The next agenda of the retracement to Gajayana Stadium is also to commemorate the century of the pride of Malang City. "Later there will be many activities, for example football by legendary players, then several other activities to remember Gajayana Stadium, including the launch of a century book," he said.
He said that a number of these agendas will be held more after Eid al-Fitr 2024. Meanwhile, regarding the theme of Malang City's Anniversary, namely "Harmonious for a Classy Malang City", this theme contains the meaning of an invitation to togetherness by the Malang City Government to all existing components, starting from the DPRD, communities, academics, media, religious leaders and community leaders.
"With this togetherness or harmony, it will give birth to a classy Malang City. In this context, with harmony, all programs can run well, so that in the future Malang City will be better and more advanced," concluded Wahyu. (say/yon)
