Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM reviewed the health check for Intercity Bus drivers within the Province (AKDP) and also Intercity Interprovincial Transportation (AKAP) at the Arjosari Terminal in Malang, Tuesday (2/4/2024). This health check was carried out to ensure that the drivers are in prime condition to provide safety and security for passengers during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah.
Approximately 118 drivers from several bus companies (PO) underwent health checks. "I advise bus drivers to maintain their health as best they can, even though the results of the examination show that their health condition is generally safe and there are no problems," said the Acting Mayor of Malang.
Health checks at the type A passenger terminal were also monitored by representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes). Wahyu said that from the results of the examination, the condition of the drivers was generally safe, but there were a small number who had hypertension and high blood sugar. "For drivers who have hypertension and blood sugar, of course, they have been given vitamins and medication, with the hope that they will remain fit during the 2024 Eid homecoming," said Wahyu.
To ensure that the 2024 Eid homecoming runs smoothly, comfortably and safely, the Malang City Government has also coordinated with all related elements. Moreover, in Malang City, there will certainly be a high spike during the Eid period as many people enter and leave Malang City. Malang City is also predicted to be a destination for tourists from various regions in East Java to enjoy the long Eid holiday of 2024. (cah/yon)
