Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM inaugurated the Community Early Warning Forum (FKDM) at the Sub-district and Malang City Levels in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Thursday (4/4/2024). There are nine members of the FKDM at the Malang City level, five at each sub-district level, so the total number for Malang City is 34 people.
Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat in his direction emphasized that the Malang City Government continues to strive to create a conducive situation. "To be able to create a conducive situation in Malang City, vigilance and early detection are needed in every situation. That is why the role of the community, including FKDM, is very much needed," explained Wahyu.
With this inauguration, FKDM must play an active role in creating a conducive, safe and controlled situation. "The community really needs the ability to detect early and prevent any potential that could cause disturbances. We hope that in the future FKDM can play an even greater role in Malang City," said Wahyu.
The presence of indications, or potentials that could cause disturbances to public order, he said, must be anticipated early on. Therefore, efforts are needed to empower the community in detecting any potential that could cause disturbances. "Preventing any potential disturbances early on is certainly very good in order to create a safe and peaceful Malang City," he added.
Meanwhile, Head of National Alertness and Conflict Handling of Bakesbangpol Malang City Ir. Ade Herawanto, MT revealed that FKDM is a community self-help institution, formed by the community and then determined by the government as intelligence in the villages. "For the tasks and responsibilities given to friends, FKDM was formally confirmed. After Eid al-Fitr, more in-depth training will be provided," said Ade.
"We invite FKDM friends, representatives of community leaders, media figures, academics, women leaders who are gathered in the FKDM forum to work together with the Early Warning Team in the Malang City Government environment," Ade invited. (cah/yon)
