Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The series of halalbihalal for Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah as well as direct review of services in regional apparatus this time was carried out by the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM at the Cooperatives and Industry Service (Diskopindag) of Malang City, Wednesday (17/4/2024).
The Acting Mayor of Malang who was present accompanied by the Assistant for Economy and Development of the Malang City Regional Secretariat Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi and the Head of the Malang City Communication and Informatics Agency (Diskominfo) revealed that before visiting the Diskopindag office, his party had visited the Tugu Tirta Drinking Water Company and several regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government to socialize and ensure that public services continue to run optimally after the long Eid holiday.
"I'm not here for a surprise inspection, but for halalbihalal. The duties and functions (Tusi) of Diskopindag are very much felt directly by the community, especially those related to MSMEs and markets," said Wahyu.
On this occasion, Wahyu was also welcomed by the Market Supervision and Order (Wastib) personnel of the Malang City Trade and Industry Office who are tasked with maintaining order in the market area. "I just found out that Trade and Industry Office has wastib who are tasked with supervising 26 markets spread across five sub-districts. Hopefully, this Wastib force can synergize with the Malang City Market Traders Association (P3KM) in carrying out their duties," he said.
Wahyu further revealed that Diskopindag also has a big responsibility related to controlling inflation which is also one of the mandates of the Acting Mayor of Malang to be implemented. "Diskopindag has a big role to control inflation. One of my duties as Acting Mayor of Malang is to stabilize inflation. The creative economy is also part of my responsibility which is attached to Diskopindag," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Trade and Industry Office, Eko Sri Yuliadi, expressed his great happiness with the presence of the Acting Mayor of Malang at the Malang City Trade and Industry Office.
"Those present today are the structural officers of Diskopindag, 26 Market Heads, ASN and Non-ASN, and also Wastib troops totaling approximately 50 people who are conducting supervision and control in 26 markets in Malang City," explained Eko. (cah/yon)
