Acting Mayor of Malang Invites Teachers to Raise the Level of Education in Malang City

Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM attended the Halalbihalal of the Extended Family of the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) at the Malang City Islamic Center, Friday (19/4/2024). On this occasion, the number one person in the Malang City Government expressed his appreciation and invited educators to continue to improve the level of optimal education.

In this warm moment, the Acting Mayor of Malang who was present with the Acting Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP said that halalbihalal can be an event to strengthen friendship, build togetherness and improve performance. Especially for teachers, educators have an important role in creating the nation's golden generation. "I come from a family of teachers, and now I am a lecturer at ITN," said Wahyu.

Wahyu said that with the continued improvement in the performance of teachers, he hopes it will be in line with the improvement in the quality of education in Malang City. "Of course, being a teacher has a great responsibility to provide an example to students," he continued.

For that, he said that the Malang City Government will continue to provide support for educators in carrying out the mandate to improve the level and quality of education in Malang City. "Not only incentives for teachers that we continue to improve, facilities and infrastructure to support the advancement of the world of education will also continue to be improved," said Wahyu.

Similarly, the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office, Suwarjana, said that his party continues to strive to improve the quality of education in Malang City. He said that currently there are around 1.600 GTT personnel who are evaluated every six months to be able to continue to support the advancement of education in Malang City.

"So teachers must continue to improve their quality, especially since incentives have increased. This is solely to continue to improve the quality of education in Malang City," said Suwarjana.

Halalbihalal at the Islamic Center Building was attended by 5.000 teachers and educators from kindergarten, elementary, junior high and private levels, as well as all regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government. (cah/yon)
