Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM attended the launch of the Book One Century of Gajayana Stadium and the Spectrum of Malang City Children at the Malang Creative Center (MCC) Building, Saturday (20/4/2024). On behalf of the Malang City Government, the Acting Mayor of Malang joyfully appreciated and welcomed the publication of the book Spectrum II Edition One Century of Gajayana Stadium 1924-2024.
Wahyu said that this book is presented as a special offering to commemorate the 110th anniversary of his beloved Malang City. According to him, as a place of pride and togetherness, Gajayana Stadium is not just a historical building.
"More than that, this stadium is a silent witness to the long journey of Malang City from time to time. The fighting spirit of the athletes, the roar of the cheers of the audience, and other historical moments have been engraved in every corner of this stadium," said the number one in the Malang City Government.
He also said that the authors poured the historical story of Gajayana Stadium in this book, both about architecture, sports events and other activity momentum. This is a reflection of the spirit of contribution, where it is in line with the theme of Malang City Anniversary 'Berselaras untuk Kota Malang Berkelas'.
With the publication of this book, Wahyu continued, his party hopes to be able to raise the spirit of togetherness and pride in the historical heritage that has been owned. "Through the in-depth description of the history of Gajayana Stadium, I want to invite every reader to remember the long journey of this city and foster the spirit to continue to work and contribute to the progress of Malang City for the better in the future," he continued.
Wahyu did not forget to express his deepest gratitude to all parties who have contributed to the preparation and publication of this book. "Hopefully this book can be a source of inspiration and valuable knowledge for future generations," he concluded.
The Spectrum II Book, One Century Edition of Gajayana Stadium, was published by Media Nusa Creative with a thickness of 614 pages, printed in April 2024, has 12 acts, 8 chapters, 44 articles and one poem.
