Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City held a Halalbihalal and Silaturahmi with the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB), the National Integration Forum (FPK) and the Community Early Warning Forum (FKDM) at the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) Building in Malang, Tuesday (23/4/2024). This meeting also became an opportunity to strengthen coordination and synergy to realize a more conducive Malang City.
Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM greatly appreciates the involvement of the community organization in the implementation of government programs, especially in creating harmony and peace in the community. Malang City with its diverse community must be a strength that must be maintained together, so that it does not become a seed of conflict in society.
"It is important for us to strengthen our commitment to support, understand, and respect each other. We have a shared responsibility to maintain this diversity as a valuable asset that enriches our lives. It is only right that we continue to establish cooperation and tolerance even though we have different religions, tribes, or community groups. This is where the role of community organizations such as FKUB, FPK, and FKDM is needed," explained Wahyu.
Furthermore, Wahyu advised community organizations in Malang City to strengthen coordination and collaboration with the Malang City Government to continue to maintain harmony, unity, and national unity. In addition, it is also hoped that these three forums can be a driving force to strengthen the commitment between community groups to maintain harmony and encourage increased tolerance and mutual respect between religious communities, tribes, nations, and cultures in Malang City in order to create a harmonious community life.
"I believe that such efforts will be able to create conduciveness and peace in Malang City," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Head of Bakesbangpol Dra. Rinawati, MM said that this activity was a gathering of Bakesbangpol partners aimed at increasing synergy between the Malang City Government and community forums. According to her, this community forum has an important and strategic role in creating conduciveness, especially when there are big moments such as elections and religious holidays such as Eid al-Fitr yesterday. In addition, the involvement of community groups in maintaining national unity like this also supports the performance assessment of the Acting Mayor of Malang so that he received good appreciation from the central government.
