Malang (malangkota.go.id) – In May, the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) will hold a Basic Competency Test (UKD) for 6th grade elementary/Islamic elementary school students throughout Malang City. This UKD is one of the prerequisites for registration in all state junior high schools in the Malang City area which can also be followed by participants from outside Malang City.
Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office, Suwarjana, SE, MM. said that the UKD is intended for students to register for New Student Admissions (PPDB) through the report card achievement route to the State Junior High School level. Until now, approximately 14 thousand students have been recorded as taking the UKD, Monday (29/04/2024).
He further explained that UKD is important because UKD is a requirement in the achievement path PPDB. So that UKD provides an opportunity for students who are academically good to enter SMP Negeri through the achievement path.
"Currently, school operators are entering data starting from the participant's name, place and date of birth, school of origin, National Student Identification Number (NISN), Population Identification Number (NIK) and home address according to the Family Card. Also related to grade 4 report card scores (semesters 1 and 2), grade 5 report card scores (semesters 1 and 2) and grade 6 report card scores (semester 1)," he explained.
After the data input is successful and complete, each participant has a PIN that will be used to take the UKD. "For residents of Malang City whose children go to school outside Malang City and later want to enter a Public Junior High School in Malang City, it is still possible. In principle, we provide a sense of justice for students who do have quite good achievement scores. Because, UKD is a requirement in the achievement path PPDB," added Suwarjana. (say/yul)
