Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The dangers of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) that can infect individuals of all ages are a special concern for the Malang City Government (Pemkot). In a series of celebrations for the 110th Anniversary of Malang City, one of them was filled with Early Detection Screening of NCDs in the 4th Floor Hall of the Mini Blok Office (MBO) of Malang City, Monday (29/4/2024).
On this occasion, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM appealed to be aware of PTM by implementing a healthy lifestyle. This screening activity is part of the Malang City Government's efforts to prevent and minimize State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and Non-ASN in the Malang City environment from being affected by PTM.
"The trend of PTM is increasing. Therefore, today the Health Service is conducting screening for ASN and Non ASN in Malang City to carry out early detection," said Wahyu.
To avoid PTM, ASN and Non ASN Malang City are expected to continue to improve healthy lifestyles. Including consuming nutritious foods that meet the requirements of four healthy five perfect.
"The attack of PTM is indeed not felt and often not even realized. That is why the Malang City Government through the Health Service continues to provide education," explained Wahyu.
Including education to consume healthy food, not only related to how many times to eat in a day but also consuming high-fiber foods. The screening is also an effort to provide understanding to ASN and non-ASN so that they can change unhealthy lifestyles.
The city government has also made various efforts to prevent ASN and non-ASN Malang City from contracting non-communicable diseases. Among them are building awareness of the importance of healthy living and exercising, one of which is by holding the Senam Tahes Mbois Jumat (STMJ) which is held routinely every Friday. In addition, there is also education on maintaining a healthy lifestyle by eating three times a day that meets the elements of the four healthy five perfect.
Based on the reports received, Wahyu added that in addition to high blood pressure, several non-communicable diseases that are often experienced are diabetes, gout and even heart disease. For this reason, early detection screening is carried out to determine the extent of the condition of ASN and Non ASN Malang City so that it is not too late in handling to further carry out prevention and intervention efforts against risk factors.
"Furthermore, the results of this screening will be processed and analyzed, and then the Health Service will take anticipatory measures together with the Malang City Hospital regarding those whose screening results are detected as having PTM," explained Wahyu.
The significant increase in NCD cases will have an impact on the quality of life and productivity of individuals. So that early detection screening activities to anticipate NCDs will continue to be strengthened and followed up. It is hoped that with the healthy and well-maintained condition of ASN and non-ASN in Malang City, services to the community can also be increasingly optimal. (cah/yul)
