Wahyu Hidayat, MM appreciates the Synergy Towards a Creative Economy economic forum, Resilient, Tested and Digitalized (Sekartaji) which was held by the Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office (KPw) at the Grand Mercure Malang Mirama Hotel, Tuesday (30/4/2024).
Carrying the theme 'Synergy of Inflation Control in Realizing Food Security and Economic Growth Resilience', at this moment the Malang City Government received the 'Kucecwara Appreciation' award as a smart and careful city in monitoring regional inflation from Bank Indonesia Malang.
Regarding this award, Wahyu said that his party together with other institutions that are members of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) are currently able to control the amount of inflation, which is in the range of 2,5 percent plus minus 1. "Although at the beginning of this year there was deflation triggered by the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr moments, inflation is currently under control," he said.
When deflation occurred, the number one person in the Malang City Government said that his party together with related parties, such as Perumda Tunas, Perum Bulog and Dispangtan, were intensifying market operations and the Cheap Food Movement (GPM) in various places.
"Optimizing the existence of three Warung Tekan Inflation (WTI) namely in Pasar Besar, Pasar Blimbing and Pasar Dinoyo plays a very important role in suppressing the rate of inflation. From these various steps, the community's food needs are also met well and at prices below market," explained Wahyu.
In the future, his party will continue to strengthen synergy and collaboration with TPID, which includes Bank Indonesia Malang. Thus, inflation is controlled and people's purchasing power is well maintained. (say/yon)
