kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Around 6.000 teachers and education personnel from kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school levels, as well as representatives from high schools, appeared enthusiastic in participating in the healthy walk activity centered at SDN Model Malang City, Tlogowaru, Kedungkandang District, Saturday (4/5/2024). This activity was held to enliven National Education Day (Hardiknas) as well as the 110th Anniversary of Malang City.
Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM also felt the togetherness and joy that radiated that morning. Before leaving for the healthy walk, Wahyu also mingled and participated in exercise with teachers and education personnel in Malang City.
"On this occasion, I wish you a Happy National Education Day. Of course, this is an extraordinary spirit. Thanks to all of you, the quality of education in Malang City has improved," he said.
Wahyu hopes that this activity can be a forum to establish solidarity and good relationships so as to support the improvement of the quality of education.
On this occasion, the number one person in the ranks of the Malang City Government emphasized that the Malang City Government continues to strive to improve the welfare of educators. "For incentives for kindergarten teachers, GTT and PTT, we have increased them. Hopefully, with this increase, the quality of education in Malang City will also increase," he explained to the media crew.
In line with the theme of National Education Day 2024, namely 'Moving Together, Continue Independent Learning', Wahyu said that the Malang City Government always supports the Central Government's program. "With the Independent Learning program, hopefully we can realize Indonesia Emas 2045, one of which is improving the quality of Indonesian education," he concluded. (ari/yon)
