Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Jatimulyo Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City initiated the Tasyakuran Sekuat Jati (Seribu Kupat Jatimulyo). The event, which was held at the Jatimulyo Village Office, Saturday (4/5/2024), was a form of preserving culture as well as halalbihalal.
The Sekuat Jati Thanksgiving was attended and opened directly by the Acting Mayor of Malang, Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM. The number one person in the Malang City Government did not hesitate to taste ketupat with the community. The 1.000 free ketupat provided gave a meaning to meet each other and forgive each other. In this activity there were also UMKM bazaar booths ranging from culinary, crafts and fashion. In addition, it was also combined with the launch of the Joyo Jatimulyo UMKM Association, KIM Jati, RW Tangguh and Kelurahan Tangguh, which was then continued with symbolic tree planting.
Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat expressed his appreciation for the Tasyakuran Sekuat Jatimulyo which he said was very good, combining arts and culture and UMKM. Moreover, the enthusiasm of the community was also extraordinary. "This activity is very good because it is packaged attractively with a different model. The richness of Nusantara culture is raised to be a very interesting activity for the community in the current era," said Wahyu.
Seeing the attractive packaging of the event and the high enthusiasm of the community, the Acting Mayor of Malang also asked the Lowokwaru Sub-district Head to continue to hold similar events regularly. According to him, from this activity there are many potentials that can be raised and continued to be developed, starting from culinary, and other UMKM products.
Moreover, in Jatimulyo, he said, there are many millennials with creative ideas that can be involved. "If this activity is held routinely, of course the boarding house children consisting of millennial students can be optimized to play a role in exploring and developing the potential of Jatimulyo Village so that it can be widely known," said Wahyu.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive of Sekuat Jati, Arif Subandi said that this activity was a thanksgiving (metri) to pray that the people of Jatimulyo would always be given health and success. This activity is also a moment of halalbihalal for all residents as well as introducing the potential of MSMEs and arts and culture in Jatimulyo.
Present on this occasion were the Head of the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) of Malang City Suwarjana, Head of DPUPRPKP of Malang City Dandung Djulharjanto, Head of Diskopindag of Malang City Eko Sri Yuliadi, and also the Head of Lowokwaru District Rudi Cahyono Catur Utomo. (cah/yon)
