Regional Secretary Erik Appreciates Self-Managed Official Residence Renovation Program of Yonif 512/QY Soldiers

Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Indonesian Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak conducted a working visit to Infantry Battalion (Yonif) 512/Quratara Yudha, Monday (6/5/2024). In addition to providing direction to the soldiers, KSAD also reviewed 12 official residences that had been repaired through the soldier's self-managed official residence renovation program.

Representing the Army Chief of Staff, Commander of the V/Brawijaya Military Command Major General Rafael Granada Baay said that this program is one of the efforts to provide comfort and welfare for members of the Army. In the future, a number of soldiers' official residences, including in other units that are considered uninhabitable will also be repaired.

In addition to improving official housing facilities, this self-managed program also includes improving and developing other facilities needed by soldiers and their families, such as educational, health and recreational facilities. "These steps are taken so that soldiers and their families can live in an environment that supports and meets their needs, especially in carrying out state duties," added the two-star general.

"I represent the Army Chief of Staff to convey that today he checked the program from the Army Chief of Staff and assistance from the Army Chief of Staff for Kodam V/Brawijaya in Battalion 512. He saw this real development. Then in the next stage he will support again, helping units whose houses are not suitable. This will continue and his program will be as maximal as possible until all soldiers' houses are suitable for habitation," explained Major General Rafael.

Through this program, the various basic needs of soldiers will be met properly, so that it is targeted that soldiers will be more focused and achieve in carrying out their duties and responsibilities towards the country.

The same thing was conveyed by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso. He said that his party really appreciates this TNI AD program. According to him, by fulfilling the basic needs of the soldiers, they will be calmer while on duty.

"The TNI is the backbone of the country's defense. Therefore, it is not surprising and even appropriate that the state is present to provide comfortable facilities. We strongly support this program, and hopefully in the future this program can be further improved and even better," he concluded. (say/yon)
