UKD is an activity carried out by the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) with the aim of obtaining a score that will be used as a requirement to enter the New Student Admissions (PPDB) through the academic achievement pathway to Malang City State Middle Schools.

The implementation of UKD this time is different from previous years. If last year tested nine subjects as a graduation requirement, this time we used Literacy and Numeracy material. Literacy and Numeracy are basic skills that are often practiced every day.

Literacy refers to abilities such as writing, reading, and understanding written text. While numeracy refers to the ability to calculate and manipulate numbers. This method also provides a lot more understanding in analyzing the forms of questions.

The principal of SDN Tunjungsekar 1 Malang City, Budi Hartono M.MPd said that students were given literacy and numeracy materials in the form of story problems. "The material is a practice for children so that they have a broad understanding and insight in concluding story problems and how to calculate correctly," he explained, Tuesday (7/5/2024)

UKD at SDN Tunjungsekar 1 uses two rooms, namely a multimedia room and a hall with facilities of 38 computers and four laptops.

UKD in Tunjungsekar 1 is conducted with three flows, consisting of a trial session and two exam sessions. The first exam session is conducted at 9.15:10.45 WIB to 11.15:12.45 WIB. While the second exam session is conducted at XNUMX:XNUMX WIB to XNUMX:XNUMX WIB.

"Any activity must have obstacles, whether big or small. However, so far there have been no serious obstacles because we have prepared this UKD long before the day of implementation. Before the UKD, we also provide training to students so that they can do the exam well and correctly," continued Budi.

Homeroom Teacher VI, Iim Fatmawati hopes that the implementation of UKD this time will be orderly and without any obstacles. "Hopefully it will run smoothly and in accordance with the UKD implementation regulations that have been determined," she continued.

Meanwhile, a sixth grade student, Dannisya Rizky Mahendra, said that the drawback of the UKD implementation was the long loading process. But the questions that were worked on were not difficult.

"We were told to take a break to wait to enter the server, thank God I was able to do 40 questions well. My message when doing UKD is to read the questions carefully and stay enthusiastic," he said. (say/yon)
