Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM reiterated the commitment of the Malang City Government (Pemkot) to continue supporting the development of the business world, especially among the young generation of Malang City.
He conveyed this when he was a speaker at a Public Talkshow entitled Young People Take Part: Seeing the Potential of Malang City as a Business Field for the Young Generation which was organized by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business (BEM FEB) Universitas Brawijaya in collaboration with Malang Meroda, Thursday (9/5/2024).
On this occasion, Wahyu appreciated the implementation of the activity which according to him was a manifestation of the real movement of the young generation in exploring the potential in developing the business climate in Malang City itself.
"This is one of the good activities of the young people of Malang. I appreciate it, because indeed from the potential in Malang City, all of this is dominated by young people and that is what must continue to be explored," he said confidently.
According to Wahyu, the business world prospects in Malang City are also considered to be a potential that has a big influence on the development of the city. Therefore, the Malang City Government prioritizes the development of the creative economy which has 17 sub-sectors of the creative economy, each of which is closely related to young people.
He said, Malang City Government also always tries to continue to provide support, both from facilities and infrastructure so that the younger generation can continue to work. One of them is presenting the Malang Creative Center (MCC) which is filled with the younger generation.
"Because in Malang City, the number of students and residents is almost balanced. So we ask young people in Malang City to continue to be creative, and we from the Malang City Government have provided facilities, one of which is the MCC which is driven by young people," he concluded. (iu/yon)
