Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) on Child-Friendly Cities (KLA) will soon be stipulated as a regional regulation. This was reflected in the Plenary Meeting for the Submission of the Report on the Results of the Discussion of the KLA Draft Regional Regulation held by the Malang City DPRD in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Monday (13/5/2024).

Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM revealed that so far Malang City has implemented the KLA principle very well. Malang City currently holds the middle predicate for KLA.
"Now we are still in the middle. To become the main KLA we need a basis in the form of regulations, namely regional regulations regarding Child-Friendly Cities," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Spokesperson for the Malang City DPRD Special Committee, Akhdiyat Syabirul Ulum, said that there were at least 15 legal bases for the special committee's agenda, including general provisions for the development of Child-Friendly Cities, guidance and supervision, prohibitions, sanctions, and notes.
"We can convey that the Child-Friendly City Draft Regional Regulation has materially fulfilled the requirements to be continued to the next stage of the discussion process," explained Ulum.
Malang City DPRD Chairman I Made Riandiana Kartika said the Child-Friendly City Bylaw is very urgent and needed as a basis for implementing a Child-Friendly City in Malang City. "We have submitted the special committee report on KLA, because this is very urgent and needed," explained Made.
That is why Made mentioned that this draft regulation will soon be realized as a regulation in the near future. "Tomorrow we will make a decision through the final opinion of the faction. But we have agreed, in the previous leadership meeting all factions accepted it so that it will soon be made into a regulation," concluded Made. (cah/yon)
